Fat Cow Studio

Pottery, photography, and mixed media art inspired by nature and the country life led by artist Cindy Cook.

About the artist

I am a city girl who ended up in central Texas raising cattle and riding horses with my husband Steve.

I am a Mom and a grandmother to 4 grandkids who call me Birdie.

Growing up, I was exposed to many kinds of art, architecture and cultures.  This gave me the love for bringing beauty to my own world.

Being a self-taught artist allows for a unique perspective, and a focus on creating one-of-a kind pieces that are unitarian and unconventional.

Nature is such a profound source of inspiration for me as an artist.  Drawing from the colors, textures and forms found in nature allows for endless creativity.  Whether it’s the sublte hues of a sunset, intricate patterns of  leaves, or the rugged beauty of landscapes, each element can evoke emotions and tell a story.
